Nose bleeding
With thanks to St John Ambulance.
1. Have the casualty sit down and lean forward.
2. Pinch the soft part of the nose on both sides with the clean dressing.
3. Place constant pressure on the nostrils for few minutes until stop bleeding.
4. If bleeding continues, press harder and longer.
CALL THE EMERGENCY NUMBER IF
- You cannot stop the bleeding in about 15 minutes.
- The casualty is bleeding heavily.
- The casualty has trouble breathing.
